Mashrabiya isn’t a wood, it’s a pattern
The name comes from Arabic and reached Brazil through Portugal: it’s the pierced lattice that filters light while keeping the view, not a specific wood species. We build it in different woods, depending on the room and the light the house gets.

A dry or slightly damp cloth is enough for everyday cleaning. Avoid alcohol, ammonia and multi-purpose kitchen sprays — they wear down the varnish over time, even when there’s no mark right away. When in doubt, water and a soft cloth never fail.
